OLLAS DE POMAIRE
 El artesano Orlando Malhue se integró al desafío de la diseñadora Margarita Zaldivar de retornar al origen cerámica de Pomaire. Con greda de Pomaire, arcilla roja y el mismo “colo” que se hacía cuarenta años atrás con una piedra roja hoy disponible en Farellones, se logró una greda que es revestida con una arcilla fina, la cual es mezclada con óxido y luego oscurecida con ocho horas de cocción. Finalmente es decorada con diseños rojos que se logran agregando paja al horno para que humee. Estas ollas poroteras y morteras, entre otras recogidas del pasado, son ideales para la conducción y mantención del calor. Estos diseños ganaron el Premio como Mejor Producto Funcional de Latinoamérica en Tanzania.

POMAIRE POTTERY
 Craftsman Orlando Malhue took up the challenge designer Margarita Zaldivar threw down of reclaiming Pomaire pottery. Using red Pomaire clay, and the same slip from forty years ago made from a red stone found today in Farellones, the final clay is obtained after blending in fine clay and oxide, which darkens after eight hours firing. Pots are finally decorated with red motifs that are obtained by adding straw to make the furnace smoky. The pots for beans and mortars are excellent for transferring and retaining heat. The designs won the Prize for the Latin America’s Best Functional Product in Tanzania.
